This Hub and pulley was designed to allow you to make use of an available Fluidampr ring. The pulley and hub are not official Fluidampr components; they are parts mated to an already existing Fluidampr part. The hub made of billet 4340 Steel and machined to tight tolerances to provide a press fit on the end of the crank shaft. The pulley is 6061 aluminum. All design was done in house.
The Fluidampr uses a silicone fluid filling and inertial mass ring to provide dampening over a nearly infinite range of frequencies, vs the competitors elastomer rubber rings that are tuned to specific frequencies. This ensures the damper is having an effect soaking up the bad vibes over the entire rev range. An additional benefit is that the Fluidampr never needs to be rebuilt and will last the life of your engine no matter how much abuse is dealt to it.
Why do I need a damper? The OEM harmonic balancer is tuned for OEM power levels and simply cannot cope with the extreme stress of a high horsepower engine. Once the OEM balancer has reached its limit internal engine damage such as damaged main bearings is likely to occur.
New crank bolts are included.
